About

A one-desk journal

Vyamas exists for a simple reason: good writing deserves a place that doesn't rush it. There is no feed here, no infinite scroll, no algorithm deciding which sentence you see first. There is a front page, a set of sections, and stories that were finished before they were published.

Every piece is written and edited from a single desk. That is a limitation and it is also the point — the voice stays consistent, the corrections are owned, and nothing goes out that the writer would not defend in person.

Sections cover politics, world affairs, culture, technology and opinion. The dividing lines are loose. A story about munitions stockpiles is also a story about arithmetic; a story about a flooded street is also a story about memory.

If something here is wrong, it will be corrected in the open. That is the whole editorial policy.
